Alright guys I had a major brain fart today. I have a 12v diesel tractor that needed a new battery and while at the store yesterday I seen a nice 975cca battery for only 90$ so I bought it. Got it home put it in the tractor turned the key and nothing happened. Let it sit overnight and tried jumping it with my 05 gmc diesel pickup and as soon as I hooked the jumpers up it made a decent arc. Figured it being such a big battery and it being dead it just had a big draw. Let the truck idle with the jumpers hooked up for about 30 secs to a min went to start the tractor and barely cranked and I could smell the battery(rotten egg smell) so I disconnected it. My question is do u guys think it was super harmful to the truck? And also inhaled a decent amount of the fumes is it really harmful to breathe in? I feel like such an idiot just not thinking and trying to get hay out to the horses. Never dealt with a 6 volt battery before items to wear in prom for girls that like cinderella
